The National Park Service is investigating vandalism at the National Memorial in Oklahoma City. A symbol of peace has been now been tarnished.
The Jesus Wept statue, near the Memorial was damaged. Someone threw a large chunk of concrete at it, several times.
Groundskeeper Don Queen: “I picked up pieces of this, and tiny pieces of the finger.â€
Father Bruce Natsuhara with St Joseph's Old Cathedral: “I only pray that they find the root of the anger that precipitated this action and hopefully resolve it.â€
The vandals didn't stop there. They also broke out several stained glass windows at the United Methodist church across the street.
