An early morning fire has destroyed a Sperry home. Fire crews from Sperry, Skiatook and Turley were called to the home on East 91st Street North around 6:45 AM Wednesday.

By the time they arrived, the home was engulfed in flames and the roof had already caved in. Charlene Robinson has been working on the house and lost a lot in the fire. “It was a home for me and my son, because it was the first place I had for myself. I was painting outside the house, I had some furniture in there, brand new furniture.”

Neighbors told Robinson they saw a car drive from the home earlier in the morning. The state Fire Marshall will determine what sparked the fire.
