A California based HMO that provides medical care for 75,000 Oklahomans, is leaving the state.
Unicare Health Plan of Oklahoma says it will not renew its contract with the state at the end of the year. Unicare provides services to residents in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Lawton.
The state will hold a special meeting Friday to find a way to make sure patients stay covered.
