Broken Arrow native Brad Penny is home for some rest and relaxation with family and friends.
He, of course, is a pitcher for the Florida Marlins, and is still basking in the glow of the World Series Championship. Wednesday he got a big pat on the back from his hometown.
Penny says big league baseball is all he's ever wanted to do. "It's a dream. It's been a dream since I was five years old. That's what I play the game for, and to finally make it is an honor."
One of the first things Penny has planned is a duck hunting trip, and lucky for him, the season opens Thursday.
