(McAlester-AP) -- A McAlester man is dead after a one-vehicle accident in Pittsburg County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Jamie Lee Ward was traveling northbound on a county road Sunday, when the vehicle he was driving ran off the right side of the roadway.

Troopers say he overcorrected, and crossed back to the left side of the roadway, then overcorrected again. He went into a broad slide, crossed back across the road and struck a ditch. The vehicle overturned five times.

The OHP says Ward was ejected 74 feet during the third roll.

Troopers say he died at the scene from massive injuries.

Troopers say he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
