Oklahoma taxpayers may have to shell out more money because of the Capitol dome. Officials say the dome will cost at least $64,000 more a year, mainly for utilities.

And the costs could climb even higher if Oklahoma has an especially cold weather. A request has been made for extra money to pay for the additional costs.

The dome was added without additional money for maintenance, which includes utilities.
