OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A U.S. Army soldier from Tulsa has been killed in Iraq, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Pvt. Jason Ward was killed Wednesday in Baghdad, the department said.

Ward, 25, died of non-combat related injuries and the incident is still under investigation.

Ward was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 70th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Division based at Fort Riley, Kan.
