Do you have several un-paid parking tickets? If so, your car may get the boot. The "boot" is a new enforcement technique that began Monday in Tulsa.

Vehicles with four or more un-paid parking fines will have a device called a boot locked onto the front wheel.

Booted vehicle owners must pay the fines by 5 PM that day or the vehicle will be towed, which will cost even more money.

Unpaid fines can add up in a hurry. Neighborhood inspector Linda Smith, "All parking fines are $15 with the exception of fire hydrant and fire lanes are $60 and handicapped are $50."

Currently there are more than 3,500 vehicles on the "Tow List." If you think you may be one of them, you can check by going to a special web site at www.cityoftulsa.org/towlist.
