(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Long-time Oklahoma oil and gas producer David Fleischaker was named Thursday as state energy secretary by Governor Brad Henry.
Fleischaker succeeds Robert Sullivan, who was appointed by former Governor Keating and continued as acting-energy secretary under Henry.
Fleischaker is president and chief executive officer of Oklahoma City-based Jolen Operating Company. He's a former adviser in the Federal Energy Administration and an attorney in the Justice Department.
The appointment requires confirmation by the state Senate.
