Sentencing for former State Senator Gene Stipe has been postponed until next month.

Stipe was scheduled to be sentenced in Washington DC after pleading guilty to violating federal campaign finance laws. But he's recovering from a concussion after a fall a couple of weeks ago.

Stipe admitted he illegally funneled nearly $250,000 into Walt Roberts' 1998 congressional campaign, and then lied about it.

Prosecutors have recommended Stipe serve prison time.
