(Stillwater-AP) -- After taking a 44-to-9 beating from Kansas State last season, Oklahoma State is looking forward to the chance to make up for it.

The 4-and-1 Cowboys host Number 22 Kansas State on Saturday.

The Wildcats whipped Oklahoma State on its visit to Manhattan, Kansas, last season. They held the Cowboys to 184 yards, sacked quarterback Josh Fields three times and forced five turnovers.

But Kansas State is in a slump. It lost its last two games to Marshall and Number 11 Texas. The defeats have essentially ended all talk of a national championship for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma State is rolling after outscoring its last four opponents 198-to-36. The Cowboys swept their non-conference schedule for the first time since 1996.

But they aren't proven yet. Oklahoma State lost its season-opener at Nebraska and has since picked up victories over teams that are a combined oh-and-16 against Division 1-A competition.
