A federal judge has granted more time for survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot and others. Judge James Ellison has given them until November 3rd to gather information and respond to questions in their lawsuit against the city of Tulsa and the state.

There are nearly 400 plaintiffs. The riot resulted in dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries on May 31st through June first 1921.

It also fueled the destruction of the Greenwood Avenue business district and surrounding Tulsa neighborhoods.
