A Tulsa school celebrated a new beginning Tuesday. Students, former students and school leaders dedicated the new Booker T-Washington High School.

The new building replaces the one that opened in 1950 with 650 students. It now serves 1,200. It was part of a $109-million bond proposal.

Students have been attending classes in the new building since school started just after Labor Day.
