A driver's attempt to avoid a dead animal led to a four-car pile up Monday morning on I-44.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say a woman swerved so she wouldn't hit a dead deer near 49th Street West.

They say her car hit another car, then stalled and got hit by a truck. The truck then clipped another car. The driver of the first car and the driver of the truck were taken to the hospital.

Their injuries were not life threatening.
