This Thursday is not only the second anniversary of the World Trade Tower attacks; it's also the United Way's Annual Day of Caring.
The United Way unveiled its 'Day of Caring' logo Monday. They also announced two major challenge grants aimed at helping Tulsa reach it's goal of nearly $23-million. Kathleen Coan, Tulsa Area United Way president, "This community has never heard the concept of not winning. We are going to make sure this helps everyone concerned.â€
The first challenge grant is a $200,000 grant from the Zarrow foundation that will match any gift or pledge of $10,000 or more. The second grant is $500,000 from the Williams Foundation, it targets new business donations or campaign increases.
Once again, the United Way Day of Caring is Thursday. It kicks off with a rally at Driller's Stadium. Anyone can attend, tickets are $5.
