There aren't a lot of new houses being built right now in Tulsa. Experts say job losses and uneasiness about the economy may be to blame for the slump in home construction.

Last month builders broke ground on 332 homes in the Tulsa area. That's down slightly from the 348 started in the same month a year ago.

Home construction has slipped about 13% so far this year.
