(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Prosecutors are considering a second-degree manslaughter charge against a truck driver accused in the death of a high school baseball player.
Carl Wayne Brewer was set to go to trial next month on a charge of leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
But an Oklahoma County judge has orderedc more preliminary hearing testimony. The additional hearing will determine whether there is sufficient evidence to try Brewer on the felony charge.
Justin David Sullivan of Yukon was killed in the June 2002 accident near Interstate 44 and May Avenue in Oklahoma City.
A set of dual wheels broke loose from Brewer's truck and jumped the median barrier, hitting Sullivan's Jeep Cherokee. Three others were injured.
