An industry that stands to benefit from the Vision 2025 Plan wants to encourage a positive vote on the sales tax.

The hotel and restaurant associations hosted a rally in favor of the plan Monday night at the Renaissance Hotel. An estimated 23,000 people work in tourism related industry in Tulsa.

Their professional associations back the Vision plan. Craig Malcolm with the Tulsa Hotel Association, â€œI mean it's not just hotels, I mean we benefit because I live here, I benefit not just as hotel but as a citizen, I go to Oklahoma City to watch a show and I'd rather do those things in my community.â€

The vote on the package is September 9th. The deadline to register to vote is this Friday.
