Norman-AP) -- A popular -- and surprise -- player at Oklahoma's media day was fourth-string quarterback Brent Rawls.
The talented sophomore from Shreveport, Louisiana was at the bottom of the pre-season depth chart. Rumor was that he would transfer.
But Rawls says he never said he planned to leave. And, he says he's never been a quitter.
Highly touted freshman quarterback Tommy Grady didn't report to practice.
He's been ruled academically ineligible by the N-C-A-A and is awaiting a waiver request.
Oklahoma Coach Bob Stoops isn't sure when Grady will be able to join the team.
