(Anderson, Missouri-AP) -- An Army soldier who attended elementary school in Oklahoma and was killed in a grenade attack in Iraq was eulogized as a team player who would have hated the attention his death brought him.

Army specialist Jonathan Paul Barnes, of Anderson, Missouri, was killed July 26th in Iraq along with two other soldiers.

Barnes attended Coweta schools until his family moved to Anderson.

About 200 people attended the service at the First Baptist Church in Anderson. The mourners included Barnes' wife, Amanda, and 3-year-old daughter, Michelle.

Barnes joined the Army in April 2001 and had been stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, since last October.
