The search is on for a robbery suspect who shot a Tulsa convenience store clerk late Wednesday. It happened at the Stop and Save convenience store at 5950 South 33rd West Avenue.
Tulsa Police say a gunman with a bandana over his face went into the store late Wednesday night and demanded money. When he got what he wanted, the suspect shot the clerk in the head and ran off.
One witness saw the whole thing take place. "We turned around and walked towards the back of the store, and he just kept hollering at him to give him all the money and got change and started fumbling around. And he just kept wanting the change. He ended up shooting the guy in the head and turned around and ran south on 33rd West Ave."
The clerk was conscious and talking after the shooting. He called 911 himself. He's expected to be okay.
The suspect remains at large.
