Improving bank security

Here's a look at how banks are preventing robberies and insuring your safety. Trained security personnel, cameras and building design, along with other confidential measures are in place.

Also tellers are trained to cooperate, get the criminal out as quickly and let the authorities handle it.

But the psychological impact of armed robbery can linger on. One victim says he'll never forget being held at gunpoint. Larry Shafer, "He leveled a shotgun at me, it seemed like an eternity though it was probably just a few seconds. You're just wondering what's gonna happen what's going thru that person's head, is he gonna do it or isn't he."

Bank officials say because of security measures the culprits eventually are caught.
