A plea from a Tulsa teenager to find her attacker. She was sexually assaulted on July 4th while coming home from watching fireworks with her brother and a friend.
She has never talked shared her story, until now. She talked with News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright.
This 18-year-old woman, whom we'll call Peggy, has been through a terrifying ordeal and yet was courageous enough to talk to us because she doesn't want this man free to do this again. Peggy was walking home alone near 4th and North Cheyenne because she'd lost track of her friends.
A man passed by her and asked her for a lighter, she says she ignored him and just kept walking, that's when he grabbed her. "He grabbed me around my neck. He had it real tight under my chin so it was hard to breathe. I screamed, but no one heard me, I guess.†Peggy says the man [police artist sketch on left] held a knife to her throat, told her he would kill her, and then assaulted her.
She says his long hair was tightly braided down his head; he was in his 20's and weighed about 300 pounds. He drove off in a beat up blue 80's model pickup truck.
Stranger rapes are rare in Tulsa and police say these type of rapists generally repeat their crimes, so they want to catch him as soon as possible.
