(Tulsa-AP) -- A man accused of carrying fireworks and a knife onto an Alaska Airlines flight has been indicted by a federal grand jury.
William Herbert Fritz Junior was indicted Thursday for possession of a concealed dangerous weapon and possession of an explosive device on board an aircraft.
Fritz was taken off the Seattle to Orlando, Florida, flight on July 3rd after allegedly showing what the F-B-I says was a large pyrotechnic device to two boys. The flight was diverted to Tulsa.
The item apparently was a ``cherry bomb'' firework that was slightly larger than a golf ball with a four-inch fuse attached.
A search of Fritz's baggage also allegedly yielded a Swiss Army knife and other, smaller firecrackers, a candle and matches.
