(Stillwater-AP) -- One of the state's top high school football players has orally committed to Oklahoma State.

Nathan Peterson of Tulsa's Union High School will be a senior this year. The six-foot-three, 250-pound defensive lineman helped the Redskins to an undefeated Class 6-A championship season last year.

Oral commitments are not binding and nothing is official until signing day.

Union coach Bill Blankenship says Peterson has the skills that make him a can't-miss player.

GoPokes.com says Peterson and Ponca City tight end Justin Waller, another senior-to-be, are the only two Oklahomans to commit to OSU so far.
