(Norman-AP) -- Former Oklahoma pitcher Kevin Olsen is apparently OK.
But that won't stop Sooner baseball coach Larry Cochell from worrying about his former standout.
Olsen, a pitcher for the Florida Marlins, was hit in the back of the head by a line drive Friday night. Olsen was motionless on the mound at Boston's Fenway Park for nine minutes afterwards.
He was taken away on a stretcher by paramedics and later received six stitches to his head.
Cochell says he was alarmed by the blow and plans to call Olsen to express his concern. But he says he'll wait a few days before calling because the right-hander's probably inundated with calls.
Olsen played for the Sooners from 1997 to 1998 and was named second-team all-conference and all-district in 1998.
