They're the best of the best when it comes to search and rescue. And Thursday, they were honored for their hard work and training.

For the past six months, several members of the Tulsa Fire Department have completed 160 hours of training in technical rescue. This makes Tulsa one of Oklahoma's only trained search and rescue teams.

As an added bonus, the city was also surprised with a $1.5-million urban search and rescue grant from the federal government. The money will be used to buy special equipment, among other things.
