Thousands of car enthusiasts are heading cross-country, to celebrate the 50th birthday of an American icon. The Corvette.
Wednesday, members of the Tulsa Vette Set club gathered at Speedway Chevrolet in Broken Arrow. They're off to Webbers Falls to catch up with the 3rd annual National Corvette Caravan.
The caravan is headed to Nashville for a big 50th anniversary celebration.
Charlie Morton, Corvette enthusiast, "We're just like kids before Christmas. Old guys like us don't get days like that, we're pretty excited."
Joe Crockett, Corvette enthusiast, "It's something you dream about when you're young and you get to enjoy it when you’re old."
The caravan will also make a stop in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the place where the Corvette got its start.
