(Oklahoma City-AP) -- There will be no entrance fees at Oklahoma state parks this summer.
The state Legislature authorized entry fees to help the parks raise money for maintenance, but officials say it'll be October or November before a fee system can be developed.
Department of Recreation and Tourism interim director Ralph McCalmount says a study is needed on which parks should charge entry fees and how much to charge. He says an ``education process'' will then be needed to minimize public resistance.
Fee increases are usually submitted to a commission that oversees the agency and is headed by Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallin.
