A rogue alligator in Craig County has finally been captured. The 10-foot alligator had been contained in a pond in Big Cabin.

The gator escaped more than a month ago from an exotic animal farm near Pryor. Several attempts to snag the snapper had been unsuccessful. Officials did everything including hanging raw meat as bait with hooks attached to floating jugs to try and slip a loop over it's head.

The alligator will be transported to a safe location.
