Authorities in Okmulgee County and Tulsa County are investigating a pair of bank robberies.
The FBI has connected four robbers from Wednesday’s bank robbery in Beggs with a string of others in several communities. They struck again Wednesday at the American Heritage Bank, dressed in uniforms like postal workers.
After the holdup, they took off and switched cars twice to get away. The robbers were caught last week on surveillance video when they held up a Checotah bank. They were wearing hats to cover their faces.
Investigators also believe the men are behind similar robberies in Tulsa and Henryetta in the past couple of weeks.
If you have any information on any of these crimes, call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. You can remain anonymous and still earn a cash reward for your tips.
In an unrelated incident, Sand Springs Police are looking for a lone suspect in a Wednesday afternoon bank robbery. He entered the BancFirst on East 2nd Street and handed the teller a note that said he had a gun. He then drove from the bank in a 90's model GM vehicle.
The man is considered armed and dangerous.
