(Stillwater-AP) -- Former Oklahoma State baseball players are expressing interest in the Cowboys' vacant coaching job.
Former coach Tom Holliday was fired 11 days ago. And former Cowboys Gary Ward, Mike Trapasso and Pete Incaviglia are making a pitch for the job.
But most would-be candidates with OSU connections say there's been no call.
Athletic director Harry Birdwell is conducting his search in private. But his search seems to be focused outside the Cowboy family.
Candidates include Cal State Fullerton's George Horton, Texas' Frank Anderson, Tulane's Rick Jones and Houston's Rayner Noble.
