(Kaw Lake-AP) -- The body of an 18-year-old drowning victim was found Monday morning in Kaw Lake in northern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says searchers from the Ponca City Fire Department found the body of Brandon Lee Hays of Ponca City about 10:45.

Troopers say Hays swimming with a friend about 7:30 Sunday night when he went under water and didn't resurface.
