(Muskogee-AP) -- Officials say the construction of new hangars near the Muskogee airport will make the town more accessible and business-friendly.
Individually owned hangars are sprouting up near Davis Field, where hangars are full, causing some to be turned away.
Davis Field Aviation owner Mike Anderson says the airport is important to Muskogee because it gives businesses easy access to the city. Anderson says several large companies use the airport.
Mike Stewart, director of the airport for the city, says the new hangars are competitively priced and the only cost to the city will be for the maintenance of the roads leading to the hangars.
Anderson says the project will make Muskogee more accessible and bring new business and people into the community.
