Trains are back on track in McIntosh County less than four days after the derailment of 36 cars near Eufaula.
Crews built a new 90-foot bridge and laid about a thousand feet of track before Monday night's reopening. For now, trains are allowed to go only 10 mph across the new section. Before the derailment, the track was rated for 50 miles per hour.
The cause of the derailment is still under investigation, but reports indicate a metal culvert may have collapsed beneath the tracks.
