One of Oklahoma's own rising stars received a high honor at the Academy of Country Music Awards Wednesday night.
Sales have been climbing for Kellie Coffee's debut CD "When You Lie Next to Me." She grew up in Moore and lived several years in Tulsa. After hearing her name called, she said it was like a dream come true. "I remember growing up back in Oklahoma, watching this show and watching Miss Reba McEntire who’s from Oklahoma accepting her award. And thinking maybe there's a chance for this girl from Oklahoma."
And, in three weeks, you have the chance to catch Coffee's act live. She'll perform at the Country Fever Music Festival in Pryor.
