Two dozen people have added their names as plaintiffs in a federal lawsuit stemming from the 1921 Tulsa Race Riot.
The lawsuit was originally filed with more than 200 plaintiffs against the city of Tulsa and the state of Oklahoma. Now a new version of the lawsuit more fully describes the climate of "racial hatred" surrounding the riot.
It adds a new section alleging the city and state were negligent in deputizing and arming white Tulsans who were either -quote- "clearly inebriated" or posed a danger to the black community.
