(Tulsa-AP) -- Junior college transfer Oswaldo Gonzalez has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Tulsa.

Coach John Phillips says the 6-foot-9, 240-pound center from Jacksonville College in Texas addresses Tulsa's need for a strong post presence.

Gonzalez is a two-year starter. He averaged ten points, six-point-four rebounds and one-point-eight blocks last season for the Jaguars.

Phillips says Gonzalez is a solid rebounder who is quick and agile for his size.
