A fire destroys a large part of a church in Jenks. The fire broke out around 1:30 AM Thursday at the Free Will Baptist Crossroads Church on Main Street.

The fire destroyed classrooms for the Jenks Christian Academy, as well as the kitchen and fellowship hall. Crews managed to save the sanctuary, but it did sustain smoke damage. The cause is under investigation.

Students of the Jenks Christian Academy will not have school the rest of the week.
