(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Kerr-McGee is reporting first-quarter earnings increased by more than $60-million.

The Oklahoma City-based energy and chemical company said Wednesday in earned $69.9-million during the first three months of the year. That's up from $5.5-million in earnings during the same period last year.

Kerr-McGee says the increase is due to higher prices and volumes of its oil, gas and chemical products.
