Coweta - A Coweta couple faces a May 15th preliminary hearing on charges they fatally shot a roommate.

Wagoner County prosecutors have charged 70-year-old Jackie Dixon Junior and 40-year-old Betty Laraine Weil with first-degree murder in the death of Mark Reed.

Weil and Dixon pleaded innocent to the charges yesterday.

A medical examiner says the 42-year-old Reed died of a gunshot wound to the head and neck. Police found his body slumped over a couch early April 15th.

Authorities say Dixon had become increasingly agitated with Reed, who had stayed at the home since about Christmas. Reed reportedly wasn't paying his way.

Police say Dixon had tried before to get Reed to leave, but Reed
reportedly had threatened Dixon and refused to go.
