(Tulsa, Oklahoma-AP) -- Tulsa-based Williams Companies said Thursday that it has agreed to sell its Utah oil and gas properties to Berry Petroleum Company for about $48.6-million in cash.
Berry Company says the Brundage Canyon properties in northeastern Utah have proved reserves of about 8.6 million barrels of oil equivalent, with about 75% being light crude oil and the rest natural gas.
The Bakersfield, Calif.-based company said the fields are now producing about 2,200 barrels of oil equivalent daily, and Berry may build another 26 wells there in 2003.
