Here's a good news update to a Tulsa rape case the News on 6 told you about recently. Tulsa Police detectives were frustrated because they have a suspect in a rape that used to be an ex-con and had given a DNA sample when he was in prison.

But because Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation analyzes all those samples and has a backlog of about 12,000 cases, detectives were told it'd be a year before they could get the DNA of a man to see if he was guilty.

After our story aired, OSBI called Tulsa's detectives and told them they found the man's DNA sample and were rushing it through, we’ll let you know if it's a match.
