Another Oklahoma county is considering building a new courthouse. This after a fire code inspection turned up 26 violations.
It happened in Ottawa County where the courthouse is not fitted with a fire alarm or sprinkler system. In addition, there are not two exterior fire escapes. The Ottawa County courthouse is 87 years old.
Commissioners will ask an engineering firm to conduct a structural survey. A new building could cost up to $8-million.
