In Oklahoma, many smaller communities are showing their patriotism and pride in big ways.
Hundreds of people came from all over Washington County to Dewey High School for a "Support Our Troops" rally. They paid tribute to service men and women past and present.
And recognized families here at home supporting the troops all over the world. Joe Franco, Dewey Mayor: "An opportunity for the citizens to gather together and honor our young men and women that are serving all around the world. Not just in operation Iraqi Freedom, but everywhere in all four corners."
Mayor Franco says the tribute to the troops was a huge success for the small community. The rally was put together in just two weeks.
