Victims' Rights Week wraps up this weekend. Victims and victims' families planted flowers at the Tulsa County Courthouse Plaza Thursday.
Victims of a variety of crimes were honored with a flower. Many were marked with the name of the victim and the date they will always remember. Iris Duncan, victim's great-aunt, "I just think it’s nice that they're commemorating them. So many things happen every day that they day's gone and its forgotten and you're left with a big hole.â€
After the planting, there was a special program with a guest speaker from the Attorney General's office.
Crime Victims' Rights Week is a national program that started in 1980 to help victims gain rights and offer them assistance.
