(Tulsa-AP) -- A Tulsa woman is doing what she can to back the US war effort.
Susan Dale, her young daughter and her mother call themselves the ``Freedom Girls.''
They appear in Tulsa in Uncle Sam-style costumes, lobby congressmen and triy to win media attention to promote the sale of government Patriot Bonds.
Those are ordinary savings bonds renamed after the September eleventh attacks in response to a public eager to help pay for the war against terror.
Dale says she was disappointed to learn that the Treasury Department markets the bonds like any other savings bonds.
She thinks more should be done to promote bond sales and has tried to solicit bank and corporate sponsorship for the Freedom Girls' efforts.
Dale says she's spent about $13,000 dollars in time and money making posters and phone calls to rally support.
