The Oklahoma Senate took time out of their schedule Monday to recognize a young hero.

Ciara Mitchell of Midwest City saved a classmate from choking to death last week. It started when a friend of Ciaraâ€™s began choking on a piece of candy. Ciara performed the Heimlich maneuver on her friend, saving her life.
