A Tulsa woman is upset that the man who broke into her home, was let out of jail in less than 48 hours later.
The reason was because the Tulsa County District Attorney's office declined to file charges in the case. We told you Wednesday how Mildred Maxwell's neighbors ran to her rescue when a man broke into her backdoor Saturday evening. The neighbors tackled 40-year-old Earnest Lee and held him for Tulsa Police.
Lee has a lengthy criminal record. Yet, because of a paperwork issue, Lee was let go without being charged. "I guarantee he's already hunting another house to rob. He doesn't need to be out, he's a menace to society."
The district attorney's office says it made a mistake in this case and is doing everything possible to fix it. They are making plans to file charges against Lee.
