A Tulsa lawyer is away from the courtroom and in the middle of the Iraqi people. Major Cornelius Johnson, or Neil as he is known, is serving as a civil affairs officer in Iraq.
Wednesday evening on 60 Minutes II, Johnson and his companions shared their jobs and their thoughts. Major Cornelius Johnson, US Army: "We're always careful, I intend to go home in the condition I got here in." Johnson's downtown is office is full of military memorabilia from the various stints he has served performing civil affair work.
Co-workers say his role in Iraq suits him. Eric Carlson, Johnson's Co-worker: "Very friendly sort, good prosecutor, very conscientious and great people skills which apparently is in demand in Iraq." Johnson also has a brother serving in the Navy.
